Give summer one last hurrah this weekend at this first-annual music festival held in the heart of Hollywood—the "garage" in the title refers not to bands but the event's location, on top of the Shepard Fairey-painted parking garage on La Brea and 2nd Street. Five local bands—including French-American duo Freedom Fry and indie pop band Warships—as well as DJ Kelly Cole will provide the night's soundtrack, while a pack of food trucks will be on hand for grub. And don't miss the interactive live painting courtesy of Off the Wall Graffiti Foundation. Admission is free, but you have to RSVP beforehand here. Or dole out $15 for VIP access to a special lounge, bar, reserved seating and an exclusive District La Brea VIP Card that gets you discounts for restaurants and shops on the block.
