Time Out says

Madame Butterfly, The Magic Flute, La Traviata—how could one possibly choose a favorite opera? Fortunately you won't have to, with the LA Opera Chorus' performance of beloved excerpts from some of the most famous operas ever. Listen to the beautiful selections led by resident conductor Grant Gershon, and get the chance to act upon your own operatic ambitions by singing along to several famous pieces, like the Anvil Chorus from La Traviata and the Toreador Song from Carmen. These events are free (but advance tickets are required), so your mezzo-soprano friend and baritone neighbor won't have qualms in joining you for a night in song. The concerts will be held at Valley Performing Arts Center, located on the campus of Cal State Northridge (18111 Nordhoff Street).
