You know it's summer in LA when the live outdoor music starts swelling all over the city, and starting June 8, East Side listeners are in for a summer-long treat. Held at MacArthur Park is Levitt LA's summer concert series, and this year, the lineup is more eclectic than ever. Expect an array of genre-crossing acts, from local Grammy-winning multi-cultural band Ozomotli to the Omega String Quartet and emerging artists, playing folk, bluegrass and throwback tunes. Bring the whole family along on Sundays for Levitt LA's weekly kids' performances. There will be more than 50 concerts by the time Labor Day rolls around, and admission is always free. No RSVP needed—just yourself, a lawn chair, a picnic, good company and open ears.
