Kick off the LA Phil's exploration of Iceland's captivatingly eclectic music scene with this Time Out-presented opener. "Made in Iceland" features both established and up-and-coming acts from the Nordic island country in performances across the Walt Disney Concert Hall grounds. The evening begins in the BP Hall with a set by amiina and an installation by Shoplifter, followed by concert hall performances from múm, Skúli Sverrisson & Ólöf Arnalds, dj. flugvél og geimskip (Airplane & Spaceship) and JFDR. The evening also includes a screening of the four-hour, single-take film Driving at the speed of the Nordic sun outside in the W.M. Keck Foundation Children’s Amphitheatre.
