Time Out says

Ryan Lott has been busting out ethereal, melodic alt-hip hop as Son Lux since 2008, collaborating with Sufjan Stevens and These New Puritans, along the way. The moody electronica maverick assembles engaging grooves on his computer with the ear of a modern classical composer and the bounce of a hip-hop producer. Last year, he released a new EP, Alternate Worlds, featuring reworkings of four tracks from 2013's Lanterns—among them a collaboration with New Zealand wunderkind Lorde. Catch him do his thing at the El Rey to get in on all the esoteric hype.
