The Rolling Stones tribute: Stones Fest LA (SLIDE SHOW)

The biggest fans of the Rolling Stones rocked the stage last week. We tagged along at Thursday night to catch the show at the Fonda.

The Rolling Stones tribute show, Stones Fest, hit the Fonda Theatre last week with a knockout show featuring acts by Butch Walker, Juliette Lewis, Pete Yorn and J.D. King of The Olms, Cyle Barnes of The Weeks, Danny Masterson and Adam Busch, Dakota Johnson (daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith) and Ruby Stewart (daughter of Rod Stewart); plus an impassioned duet of “Shine a Light” by Jason Sudeikis and Will Forte. Jakob Dylan even showed up as a surprise guest and did a cover of “Ruby Tuesday” with, aptly named, Ruby Amanfu.

Our photographer covered the fest from rehearsal to final act, and even wound up backstage at the show to get exclusive shots of the artists between sets.

The Stones Fest series is put on by the same people who started Dylan Fest and Petty Fest (see our coverage of the Petty Fest West 2013 rehearsal here) in New York. The show benefitted the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which offers assistance to professional musical artists in need.
