Since 2000, U2 have made a pretty convincing bid for the most popular band in the world. Musically, though, the larger-than-life Dublin quartet has fallen back on flat anthems fashioned to fill stadiums. Even the most wary U2 fans, though, should perk up at the announcement of the band's latest stadium tour: a 30th anniversary celebration of The Joshua Tree, with the landmark album played in full. The Lumineers open the show.
