1. Celebrate 100 years since the discovery of the New Kingdom ruler’s tomb with more than 150 artifacts on display in “King Tut: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh.” Advance tickets to the California Science Center exhibition are sold out, but let this be your reminder to reserve a pair now.

2. Listen to a free 10-hour classical music marathon as Bach in the Subways sets up at Union Station from 9am to 7pm.

3. Usher in the springtime bloom with Descanso Gardens’ Cherry Blossom Celebration. The botanical garden offers tours (included in $9 admission) at 11am and 1pm of its about-to-bloom cherry trees; make sure to scope out the flowering camellias, too.
