1. Explore a hall of fame of the world’s worst inventions and now-defunct technology during the closing day of the Museum of Failure. Admission to the A+D Museum exhibition, which is open from noon to 7pm, costs $15.

2. Spend the afternoon outdoors at the beautiful Huntington Library during its Chinese New Year Celebration. Usher in the Year of the Dog from 10am to 5pm with lion dancers, martial arts demonstrations and more; admission to the museum and gardens costs $29.

3. Scope out pop-up performances and installations as The Dialectic of the Stars takes over all corners of the Ford Theatres. The free event runs from 2 to 8pm.
