Fire-to-table fine-dining steakhouse ALTO—an acclaimed new entry in Studio City’s dining scene—has made waves with its Argentine and Uruguayan dishes and drinks. But this week, the restaurant’s chefs, Juana Castellanos and Esteban Klenzi, are teaming up with husband-and-wife chefs Juliana Thorpe and Ignacio Zuzulich, of Sonoma County’s buzzy the Lodge at Dawn Ranch, for a special one-night collab. The four friends—and former colleagues at Michelin-starred Mugaritz in Spain—will present a menu that honors their shared roots. Think criollo bread with herbs butter, a hand-cut braised beef empanada, and picanha with chimichurri and layered potato, plus inventive vegetarian options like charcoal-roasted lion’s mane.
