Time Out says

Fighting the brunch crowds at Blu Jam Café, with has locations in Sherman Oaks, Hollywood and Woodland Hills, requires a special kind of patience. But with eggs Benedict that makes your shoulders slump with happiness and crunchy French toast that is hard to top, it's well worth the wait. Fantastic service adds a neighborhood feel to the chain, which opened its Melrose location in 2006.

This is the spot to get breakfast in Sherman Oaks. I only visit for breakfast because of their operating hours and only on weekends, which makes me look forward to it that much more.  I would suggest that you definitely come early and get a table or you'll have to wait in line - but it's worth the wait!

They have an efficient and friendly staff that is very attentive and helpful. Their menu has great dishes and bears the infamous "crunchy French toast". A simple dish but so delicious. Corn flakes coat the French toast and then topped with fresh fruit and served with a sugary syrup. I like their normal version with mixed berries and the tropical version with coconut and pineapple. I also like their scrambles and burgers. I haven't tried anything I didn't like.

Give them a go and you'll be satisfied, too.

Definitely a place that is deserving of all the "best brunch spots" articles it is mentioned in. Blu Jam has something for everyone -- but their eggs Benedict selection is particularly impressive and delicious. They've also got a decent list of great healthy options as well if you're on a diet. It's an easy place to find something to enjoy, even if you are a picky eater. Beware of the line though, if you're not planning on going early, you can expect a decent wait.

Even though there is always a wait, it's totally worth it! My boyfriend loved the florentine benedict and I always get the Far East Tofu Scramble! The staff is very friendly which is always a plus.
