Time Out says

Part fish market and part restaurant, this casual Redondo Beach seafood spot manages to combine fresh fish and an oceanfront setting without breaking the bank. Granted, there's a parking lot between the restaurant and open ocean, but the enclosed back patio is still a great place to crack open a crab leg. Start out with crispy fried, butterflied shrimp and creamy, buttery lobster bisque; you can't go wrong with the fresh fish, in particular the tender swordfish and the memorably flavorful smoked salmon.

Captain Kidd's is such a cool place to go to even if you're not actually going to buy anything. You can pick your lobster, crab, or whatever fresh from market and they will either cook it there for you or you can take it home to cook. If you don't like seeing your food live first, you can just order from the front. I usually get the lobster tacos, which are pretty darn good and then we order some fish to go to eat during the week. Love this place!
