Here’s the deal – is Castle the best AYCE KBBQ in K-Town? Absolutely not. Is it a strong top contender for the best $10 AYCE KBBQ? I think it just might be. A few years ago I had a friend who lived right across the street from Castle and let’s just say I probably dined here more times than I should’ve. I’m sure I smelled like brisket more days than not. Sorry to everyone who had to be around me then. Castle has 2 menu options. The first is very basic, but definitely not as basic as some other $10 spots I’ve been to (there are more than 3 meat options). The second is about $15 and has a larger selection including shrimp and octopus. I’m a sucker for spicy baby octopus and almost always get roped into ordering this. I don’t suggest it though. If you’re at Castle – do the $10. Don’t expect the highest quality meat and definitely don’t expect the highest quality service. You are paying $10 for an endless amount of meat and banchan. What more do you want? As far as I am concerned - $10 is basically a free dinner and if it’s free it is 100% me. Be alarmed – the wait time for a table can be a little long especially if you’re arriving after 7p. It will be worth the wait though. Come prepared with stretchy pants because you will not be leaving the same size you arrived.
