Time Out says

Chaya Downtown has caused a stir in the L.A. dining scene with its modern east-meets-west dishes, upscale ambiance and flawless service. Chagrined by deciding a place for your next date? This Asian fusion bar and lounge makes an excellent candidate for the occasion. Take a seat at the garden patio under the twinkling stars and be surrounded by lush landscaping while feasting on their signature Honey Glazed Maple Leaf Duck Breast—served with autumn root vegetables, kale, celery root puree, chamomile, marinated in red wine sauce and topped with chestnuts—it is overflowing with all sorts of flavors. Also try the bigeye tuna tartare—served with crostini and avocado—the tender fish will melt in your mouth within seconds. To finish: bite into an oven-fresh pistachio chocolate chip cookie—topped with frangelico whipped cream—warm, moist and just the right amount of gooeyness.
