Time Out says

Cheeky's is a Palm Springs institution. Yes, there's always a line, and yes, it's always a bit of a scene, but this place has been churning out consistently fresh and inventive breakfast and brunch fare for years, and is a favorite of both visitors and locals. The place is known for its drool-worthy bacon flight, custard-style scrambled eggs and house-made pastries and sausages—as well as a spicy (and stiff) bloody Mary.

We have been waiting to come here for years, but there is always a long wait, so we end up eating somewhere else.  Well we were in Palm Springs on a Monday and finally we saw that the place had no line.  We were seated immediately at a long community table outside.  The menu had so many options that all sounded amazing.  I went for the quesadilla with bacon on the side.  The waitress recommended the quesadilla because it would still have great flavor without the bacon and it came with a delicious “red sauce.”  The quesadilla was cheezy, but nothing special.  I was expecting the ‘red sauce” to be like a salsa, but it tasted more like tomato soup.  Hubby had an egg dish with brie and some sort of jam.  It definitely was not what we were expecting and the flavors just didn’t come together right.  I also had a bloody mary that is made with their “from scratch mix.”  The presentation was nice but flavor was just okay, a bit on the horseradish side and thin consistency.  Overall it was a decent spot.  I want to go back and try some more items from the menu, I’m hoping maybe we just both made some bad choices that day.
