What's Cinco de Mayo without a cocktail in one hand and a crispy tortilla chip in the other? Head down to West Hollywood and join Gracias Madre in celebrating this storied Mexican-American tradition. The vegan restaurant will be serving special cocktails such as the Popstar—a concoction of mezcal, green chartreuse, watermelon, jalapeño, clarified lime, sea salt and house made pop rocks (yes, they're vegan). There will also be a snow cone machine pumping out a tequila mule variation of the snow cone. Food specials ($5) include empanadas, tamales with poblano peppers and the universally beloved chips and guacamole. Come early and stay for the lively festivities (a mariachi band will be playing at 6pm).
