DTLA's food-hall scene is booming beyond Grand Central Market. Small but carefully curated, Corporation Food Hall offers vendors such as Middle Eastern falaffel shop Soom Soom; pizza-and-cocktails spot On the Thirty; and the genre-bending taco-and-burrito shop Tacos tu Madre.  There's even an enclosed outdoor patio, which is prime for Downtown people-watching.

Get yourself to Corporation Food Hall!  Somehow this place was big news when it was announced it would be turned into a food hall...but not when it actually opened.  So many options, from Mediterranean to Asian.  Pasta or fried chicken, how to choose?!  South City Fried Chicken is incredible, with many delectable sandwiches on offer, all showcasing perfectly crunchy fried bird, usually utilizing homemade sauces and numerous savory toppings.  Don't forget to get Dole Whip before leaving!  Adorable neon signs showcase each station, a la Grand Central, though these digs are decidedly more upscale (it's hard to be a 100+ year old food hall though, so Grand Central gets a pass).  It's a little off the beaten tourist track for the historic core, but perfect if you're exploring, a local, or someone working in the area.  Nearby find trendy ice cream purveyor Little Damage and numerous great bars to spend the evening in--Wendell's and Rhythm Room are both fun.
