After finding success with Playa Provisions, Hudson House and the Tripel, Brooke Williamson and Nick Roberts have opened Da Kikokiko, a Hawaiian-inspired restaurant serving poké, musubi, shaved ice and other tropical treats. The homey eatery boasts bright colors, plenty of plants and a dining area that seats 30.

Totally overpriced but I guess that’s what you get in Playa Vista! Poke bowls are popping up everywhere, here is no exception. Da Kiko Kiko also has the “create your own poke bowl” option but I think the flavor here is better than some of the other poke bowl places I’ve tried.

Spam musubis are almost $4 for 1 which is ridiculously expensive. I think they can get away with it because there are not a lot of restaurants in the area that make spam musubis. Nothing more than average as far as the flavor, you could make a whole batch at home for the same cost of one, but I guess you pay for the convenience!

I love my local Hawaiian food but I do think there are better dinning options in that Playa Vista Runway area. Great to try once but not to frequent.
