This restaurant that sources all of its ingredients locally—and we mean really locally: Forage exchanges produce from backyard farmers for free meals, and gives grants to help urban farmers obtain state certification as approved food sources for markets and restaurants. The ever-changing seasonal menu reflects the surprising amount of farmers we have quietly tending gardens in our metropolitan midst.

Forage has some of the best local and seasonal dishes in the city. And you know everything is fresh, because they can barely keep dishes coming out of the kitchen fast enough to keep up with demand! I'm okay paying slightly higher prices here, because I know a big chunk of change goes back to local farmers. I just wish the place were bigger so seating weren't so cramped!
