Free Salt & Straw ice cream

If you haven't yet been to Salt & Straw's ice cream shop in Larchmont Village, it's understandable—the lines are often long, the prices a bit of a stretch. Skirt both those issues on Valentine's Day by stopping by Compartès Chocolatier in Brentwood, where the Salt & Straw Ice Cream Truck will give away free mini scoops between 1 and 3pm. Try the California Love, made with Compartès chocolate, caramelized pretzels and hazelnut fudge in a pretzel ice cream, just one of the many Compartès-influenced flavors on the menu.
