The former Sqirl pop-up has come a long way: as one of the first newcomers to revitalize the now-thriving Grand Central Market, G&B Coffee has received continual praise for its exceptional coffee and champion baristas. Founded by Kyle Glanville and Charles Babinski, the coffee bar opens up onto Hill Street and is a perfect spot for people-watching, reading the morning paper and chatting up other early birds who can battle the breakfast crowd to grab an espresso or iced latte (named the best iced latte in America by the New York Times). They've got some pretty unique brews on hand, too: the Business & Pleasure features three drinks in a row, including a fizzy tea, an espresso and a macadamia-almond milk latte.

Definitely some impressive coffee. For those coffee connoisseurs and drinkers seeking an elevated experience, this is a great place to grab a cup. The staff seriously knows their stuff and takes their craft seriously. They've got your normal everyday coffee drinks as well as some very interesting and sophisticated concoctions too. As some other have likely said in reviews, very likely this is amongst the best coffee in LA.

G&B operates like a fully staffed hive. Worker bees constantly taking orders, cleaning, steaming milk, pulling shots and creating masterpieces from their 360° accessible coffee bar. The macadamia latte on the menu grabbed my attention. The latte is expertly made and has a great taste. It's creamy, full of body, rich, and strong; it's the coffee counterpart to a craft stout, another one of my favorites.  I unfortunately didn't order one of their waffles with ricotta as I had ordered food at the neighboring DTLA Cheese, but I'll definitely be returning for one.

The almond macadamia latte is unlike anything I've ever had before, it's extremely delicious! There will definitely be a wait for your coffee, so don't plan on a quick grab-and-go, but if you've got the time, it's definitely worth the wait.

Ok, so here you can find the best expresso in DTLA.

It’s not an easy thing to say, because there are one or two other places, that keep the bar up, but I have to admit, here the expresso is very tasteful and balanced. They offer a very good service – on some days you can find maybe seven people working there – and they have a very good dynamic, which makes your waiting time less painful! All very friendly and professional, which is a big deal when you can see all the process! Highly recommend this place!

Have you seen this place lately?? It looks amazing, with a wraparound bar offering tons of seating and easier ordering. The design is classy and fun, and there's something so pleasant about sitting with your coffee watching the baristas bustle behind the bar, mirroring the bustle of GCM behind you, while you take your time getting caffeinated to do your own bustling.
