LaVa Pop-Up Dinner at Barkada

For one night only, East Coast Filipino flare meets West Coast Filipino cuisine at LaVa—that's short for "L.A. to VA," naturally—a collaboration dinner by Barkada's Josh Robles and Richmond, Virginia's Mike Ledesma (of Perch). Expect course after course of modern Filipino food, including poke frisée salad with fresh coconut, yuzu and saki; steak-and-foie-gras tartare with truffle aioli and pickled mushrooms; Virginia oysters Rockefeller with
braised kale and sambuca; arroz à la Valenciana with mussels, clams, shrimp, longanisa and sea bass; and ube cheesecake cannoli.
