Time Out says

LA needs more of this type of mini-chain. The lengthy menu covers cafeteria-style dishes (braises such as red miso beef short rib), rices, noodles, pastas and side dishes, plus toothsome sandwiches (beef and horseradish aioli, for instance). To drink, there are basic coffees, plus soft drinks including a variety of lemonades. OK, the $1 cupcakes won't win any awards, and at busy times the ordering system can get a bit chaotic, but overall Lemonade is a winner. Some branches are open at weekends.

Lemonade takes cafeteria-style dining to a whole new level!  Whenever I"m in the mood for a "healthy" and tasty meal - this is my go-to!  In downtown, it's located in the subterranean food court at 5th and Flower.  Be sure to look for the escalators going down to find it!

This is my go-to lunch spot when I'm in the area. I absolutely love the selection of sandwiches, salads and sides at Lemonade. Obviously the lemonade here is a standout. I'm particularly fond of the cucumber mint and will go out of my way to head here and get a glass on a hot LA day!

I love the concept of Lemonade, where you can get how much you want, of whatever you want, and everything is pretty fresh and relatively healthy. I never leave feeling like I'm in a food coma, but instead feel good about eating their salads and sandwiches of all kinds (I love changing it up, but have a few favorites, too). I'd recommend the couscous, the caprese pasta, the carrots with warm spices and also the watermelon radish salad. All are pretty balanced in flavor and have a bit of brightness to them that makes each dish pop. You can customize your order to mix it up, and get a chocolate chip cookie (or one of many other baked goods) at the register if you're like me and love dessert. Make sure to also get their lemonade (of course!) as it's fresh and comes in a variety of great flavors!
