We love our smoothies like any good Californian and admit to caving in to the anything-but-cheap, daily dose at Liquid. The West Hollywood juice bar is our morning and pre-workout pit stop and post-partying pick-me-up spot. Try the Cure ($6.50, 16 ounces; $7.75, 20 ounces) of green apple, cucumber, kale, ginger, lemon, aloe vera juice and mineral salt to fix any hangover or the Oxygenator ($6, 16 ounces; $7.25, 20 ounces) filled with apple, beet, carrot, ginger, lemon and jalapeño (those sensitive to heat can sub for cayenne) to jolt you into tip-top form. We love the smoothies made with housemade almond milk including the fruity Melrose Sunset ($5.50, 16 ounces; $6.75, 20 ounces), mixed with pineapple, strawberry, orange and banana or the downright earthy Chronic Smoothie ($7, 16 ounces; $8.50, 20 ounces)—a blend of almond milk, banana, strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, kale, dates, mineral greens and hemp oil. When you'll hit a long queue is unpredictable, so call ahead and place your order. You can also call a day ahead to pick up the newly launched one ($55), three ($165) and five ($275)–day cleanses which come with daily juices, yerba mate tea and chia seed packs. And don't forget your rewards card, which buys you a free drink after ten. It pays to flex those juice dollars.
