Basking in anotheryear of carb-filled glory, the Los Angeles Bread Festival is descending upon L.A.’s Grand Central Market for a two-day tasting fest of unabashed bread guzzling. We can already smell the loaves fresh out the oven. Try one-time-only menu includes offerings from GCM’s staple vendors like cornbread from Horse Thief BBQ, flatbread specials from Madcarpa, handmade tortillas from Chiles Secos and “butter flights” from DTLA Cheese (the perfect pairing to your burgeoning bread basket). The food fest will also house a pop-up marketplace showcasing local SoCal bakers as well as jam and nut purveyors. Basically, a smorgasbord of bread wizards and jam and nut butter purveyors. But there's more than just eating going down at GCM this June. The festival is welcoming a host of how-to workshops like "Feel the Churn Butter Aerobics."
