Lost at Sea is an Old Town Pasadena seafood restaurant that combines the flavors of Southern California with a French culinary technique. Their seasonal menu includes soup, salads and beautifully prepared seafood dishes including a sockeye salmon with panzanella, tomato, roe and basil pesto and a snapper with wax beans, shimeji, and tarragon fumet. Their artisanal wines come from all over the world, and the restaurant also offers a selection of local, craft beers.

I absolutely loved the velouté—it changes seasonally, but you'll probably always find lobster in the cold soup—and while some of the other dishes were pretty good, nothing really blew me away. That makes it a tough sell considering the size and price of the dishes. The ambiance is nice, though.
