Salted caramel ice cream at McConnell's Fine Ice Cream

Founded in Santa Barbara, McConnell's ice cream has found its way to Grand Central Market, and for that we are eternally grateful. Where else would you find a scoop of salted caramel so decadent it should be illegal? Where else could you get flavors like cardamom and Swedish gingersnaps? McConnell's, you make us melt.

Delicious ice cream, perfect to grab a scoop or take home a pint! They have a great selection of unique flavors. Especially during a summer lunchtime rush there can be a bit of a line so plan accordingly!

Yesssss!!! McConnell's is my go to spot for delicious ice cream - it never disappoints!  I had this place for the first time in their OG location in Santa Barbara that I've only heard good things about.  What I like about this place thy don't try to hard to be too OUT there with their flavors - it's more sophisticated and nice subtle flavors.

All the flavors are good, so you can't go wrong.  If you still can't decide on a flavor note to get a split scoop with a single and you'll get to try 2!

It's definitely a 'high-end' ice cream so be prepared to pay well over $5 for a cup of ice cream.

Delicious! Friendly staff and excellent ice cream. My personal favorite is the Churros con Leche - Real pieces of churro in the ice cream is hard to beat. Though you can't go wrong with any of the flavors. Everything they make is pretty darn good.

One of the best places to get ice cream in LA, hands down (even if it hails from Santa Barbara).  While the line will be hectic and long on your average weekend, stop by during off hours if you really want the opportunity to try some samples without holding up the line.  It's hard to pick a favorite here, especially since so many of their best flavors are seasonal.  One thing's for sure--you will find something amazing and a small cup won't be enough.

In an age where we have to pay close to $5 for a single cup of ice cream, it might as well be as good as McConnell's. There are a couple locations in LA, but I like this GCM one the best after eating lunch at the market. Their Eureka lemon and marionberries is my favorite, followed by salted caramel and Turkish coffee.
