Mendocino Farms is a sandwich shop on culinary steroids. Along with the standard classics like meatball subs and ham and cheese, the shop has gained a solid cult following with unique offerings like their "Not so fried" chicken sandwich, an outstanding pork belly banh mi, and their vegan offerings. Mendo, as it's affectionately called, even added a smokehouse to produce in-house pastrami and other smoked delicacies. You're going to want to leave Subway behind for this one.

This is one of my favorite sandwich spots! I recommend the Modern Tuna "Almost Melt" and the Enlightened Falafel Wrap wth a side of the couscous or shells.
No one does fast-casual, chef-driven, seasonal farm-to-table dinning like Mendocino Farms. Their menu is bursting with flavor and you can always expect their highest quality out of their sandwiches and salads. Their house-made sodas kind of suck though.
We always order Mendo for special office lunches: it's not too pricey, but it's more elevated (and more filling) than normal mid-day options. They have great seasonal options and enough veggies/vegan menu items to satisfy every palate.
More elevated than a standard deli sandwich but not overly sophisticated, Mendo is easily LA's best sandwich chain. The "not so fried" chicken sandwich and the farm club always satisfy, as do their seasonal selections. The free salad samples while you wait are just icing on the cake—er, aioli on the ciabatta?
