Consistently good seafood (think fresh lobster, shrimp tacos, and New England clam chowder)—not to mention an unbeatable waterfront location—makes this iconic Malibu lunch and dinner spot, which first opened in 1956, a popular choice for families, beach bums, and regular old fried food lovers.

I'm throwing Neptune's Net four stars based purely on ambiance, enjoyability, and my love of fresh seafood. I agree with the other posters here that there may be better seafood down the road, but deep fry a batch of fresh clams and put them in front of my face any day and I will be a happy man.

Malibu clam chowder will never beat my hometown's (Boston) signature dish, but it is damn tasty. My visitor friends snagged crab cakes and calamari which also hit the spot. It's sort of like that favorite, greasy Chinese restaurant from home that will never win any James Beard awards but will certainly never fail you.

The vibe is motorcycle maven haven meets Socal, laid-back seafood shack; it's a perfect combination and after spending a bit of time at Neptune's, you'll come to realize that will never change. Worth a visit!

Neptune's Net is like a perfect California postcard—bikers and surfers pull up to this colorful seafood-serving patio for fried and boiled deliciousness. You can find far better seafood else, and its definitely on the greasy side, but it's still tasty. There used to be a small hill next to the restaurant with a few picnic tables, but that's been flattened to add onto the parking lot; definitely takes away from some of the ambiance.

The line is worth the wait! This place has a fun biker ambiance, and if you’re looking for fresh seafood and sweeping ocean views, it’s your best bet. The menu is endless, seating is shaded and tucked into a hillside, meaning you can look right over the ocean and into the sunset as you chow down on thick-cut fries, fish n chips, mahi tacos or shrimp ceviche.
