Beef tongue at Oo-Kook

This two-story palace to beef features a AYCE (that’s “all you can eat”) Korean barbecue, which rise above the rest in Ktown. For "Premium BBQ," the $24.99 price tag is quite reasonable: You'll get bottomless options of well-marble short rib, lean Kobe beef tongue and large shrimp. The ‘cue cooks on tabletop grills and comes with slippery rice wrappers, seasoned sesame oil, fermented bean paste, raw garlic and jalapenos and moderately spicy chile paste. Be sure to come hungry as Oo-Kook actually charges id="mce_marker"1.99 for any leftovers. Really, though, after all this consumption, and hopefully several glasses of beer or soju, everybody will leave the restaurant well sated.

With all the great AYCE Korean BBQ places in K-town, come here just off the sole fact that this place actually takes reservations! There’s similar, cheaper restaurant options (this place is $28/person) but I’d rather shovel out a few extra dollars just to have a reservation and not have to wait hours on end!

A lot of the waitstaff seems to be Korean-speaking only (K-town afterall!) – I always feel like they are confused by what I am asking (extra banchans, more water, etc) but they are pretty fast and attentive. They will come around and grab the tongs right out of your hand (lol) if they feel you are cooking your meat wrong.

Food is great – pace yourself and come hungry! Good banchan options too (you can also order more that they don’t bring – like the egg in the pot)

They also have a valet in their tiny parking lot. That gets crowded too, so expect to be on the hunt for parking if valet is full.  Fun to come with a group of people!
