Time Out says

Manhattan Beach is rife with seafood restaurants, but Rock'N Fish somehow manages to hit the sweet spot by being both casual and creative. Diners come here for surf and turf, but also for the famed oak grilled artichoke—it's smothered in garlic aioli, so don't even tell yourself it's a legit vegetable. Friendly service, big portions and an impressive spirits menu turn first-timers into regulars, though repeats will still need to wait for a table on a busy Saturday night. For dessert, the behemoth Kona Pie—made with chocolate, vanilla and coffee ice cream—declares that it serves two, but four people could comfortably dig into the massive slice and leave stuffed.

I am a Maryland native and I approve this crab cake.

Rock'N Fish might look like a schlocky chain restaurant at first glance, but the seafood is good, and the prices aren't outrageous. Make a reservation or be ready to wait for a table. One of the better casual options right on Manhattan Beach.

Rock’N Fish has a fun atmosphere, located right on the main Manhattan Beach Blvd that leads towards the pier. There is outside patio seating along with a 2-floor dinning interior inside – which they need because this place gets packed.

Seafood is good here – I recommend the calamari, poke tartar, and salmon entree. Salmon can sometimes be a bit dry as salmon often is, but you get to pick your sides (ranging from fries to spinach) so you can go as healthy or indulgent as you want. It is relatively pricey, but that’s what you get with seafood.

Always a fun, casual option for Manhattan Beach dining. You can usually get a reservation with relatively short notice too, even though it’s crowded.
