Ruth's Chris Steak House - Marina Del Rey
Ruth's Chris Steak House was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana by Ruth Fertel, a single mother of two who wanted a better life for herself and her two sons. She purchased "Chris" steakhouse in New Orleans which had been operated for the 38 years prior. She changed the name to Ruth's Chris when a fire forced her to move from the original location. Today, there are over 140 Ruth’s Chris Steak House restaurants across the globe. We look forward to our opening in Marina Del Rey, CA.

Have I seriously not reviewed Ruth’s Chris before?? Totally
my go-to restaurant for my birthday. Ruth’s Chris usually pops up on Dine LA,
but even if you miss that, they do have a prefix menu year-round that is about
$55 and includes a salad, steak entrée, side, and dessert. So totally worth
Obviously a steak house is a bit on the pricier side, but the ambiance and interior deco in the restaurant and the food justify it. Lots of white tablecloth and my personal favorite, booths.
The NY strip and the filet mignon do not disappoint. They are pretty good with getting your rare, medium rare, medium, etc order accurate (lots of other steakhouses will burn your steak regardless of what you say). Service can be iffy depending on who you get, but management is always really nice.
Top the meal off with the crème brulee. It’s not on the prefix if that’s what you’re ordering, but it’s so light and good.
