Slater's 50/50 Bacon Hot Dog Giveaway

When it comes to good old-fashioned hot dogs, Slater’s 50/50 knows a thing or two about finger-licking grub. Home to the original hybrid patty made of half ground bacon and half ground beef, the carb aficionados are applying that same bacon-filled philosophy into their soon-to-debut menu item: the 50/50 Furter. Hitting the stove on International Bacon Day (September 3), the 100 percent, all-beef frank hot dog stuffed with crispy smoke bacon and wrapped in bacon strips will be given away for free for one day only from 11am-5pm at locations across the Golden State. The new hot dog will be made in varying combinations, from a BBQ sauce, onion ring topped confection to a chili cheese slice of heaven. Save the first Saturday in September for a bite of bacon-infused glory at zero cost.
