One of L.A.'s best teahouses is turning one, and to celebrate it's throwing a special
Chinese- and Taiwanese-influenced tea service—complete with wine.
Steep LA, tucked into Chinatown's Mandarin Plaza, is going big for its anniverary this weekend with a one-day-only outdoor tea service that includes dim sum, house tea blends, wine and even a take-home treat.
With seatings at noon, 2 and 4pm on Saturday, Steep's anniversary tea service begins with a welcome drink—a made-in-house Longjing-infused umeshu concoction—then proceeds to tomato infused with honey tea, to open up your palate.
From there you'll be served assorted dim sum and have your choice of either a glass of sparkling rosé or some cava, and slurp a bowl of cold noodles with shrimp as you sip Steep’s signature: cold brew oolong tea. Finish with yunwu green tea and a few sweets, then take home a milk-tea kit with oat milk to keep the (tea) party going. Reservations are available now.
