Time Out says

Nestled on Ventura Boulevard is Studio City's The Bellwether, a casual neighborhood spot from executive chef and co-owner Ted Hopson, along with beverage director and co-owner Ann-Marie Verdi. Whether you're stopping by for a solo drink while watching the game on one of the TVs above the bar, or sitting down with friends for a shared meal, you'll find plenty of gems to choose form on both the drink and dinner menU: tender charred octopus, a luxurious stewed chickpea dish, pork and beef meatballs, white negronis and more. A separate R&D section on the menu allows diners to try one of Hopson's work in progress.

Tune-Yards

Nate Brenner and Merrill Garbus—an Afrobeat-inspired pop experimentalist whose vocal gymnastics, paired with layered rhythms and looping beats, never fail to impress—will bring their inventive tunes to the Bellwether. The Oakland-based duo, who are also known for their film and TV scores, are touring behind their sixth LP, Better Dreaming.
