Time Out says

Out of Urth's five distinctive locations throughout Los Angeles, the South Hewitt St locale is by far the artist/young professionals' hangout of choice. The place serves up organic coffees, teas, tasty lunch fare and vegan desserts; but the real point of interest is the masterpiece of an exterior (made of brick and stained glass), which perfectly backdrops the outdoor tables of urban Angelenos discussing their latest installations while slurping boba milk tea.

This location is a little industrial and stark in the daytime, but it gets cozy in the evening. Parking is relatively easy depending on your luck. The menu is the same as other branches. Highlights include the salads (especially the Paradise Salad) and good renditions of classics like pizza and soups. The Pot Roast and the Monkey Granita are surprisingly good. Lines may be long but they move pretty fast.

I've always gone to the Urth Cafe in Beverly Hills, but when I ventured to the downtown location I was surprised I hadn't been there before. The brick building has a ton more seating than the Beverly Hills location and it's full of a variety of people, hip city dwellers to business people to LA police officers (a lot of them!). The menu is similar to any other location, I got the Mediterranean salad with chicken and i devoured it. To top it off, parking was SO easy. I got a spot right in front!
