Although this bustling Cuban joint boasts a large menu, head straight for the garlic chicken served with sweet onion, fried plantains and white rice with black beans. Service is brisk but not rude; if you're not ready when your server comes to take your order, he'll dash to another table, then return to you when you've decided what to eat.

Considering most reviews are just solid, this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The black beans are flavorful, but not heavy. The ropa vieja tastes homemade. The garlic chicken gets better after a few days.
