Time Out says

The pizza here always tastes fresh—they make crust dough from scratch daily, use only Wisconsin mozzarella, and make their own sauces, meatballs and sausage in-house. It's not quite New York style, but it's pretty delicious in its own right. Tip: Try their fresh crushed garlic and clam mixture or pesto on your next pie.

Sloppy oily mess. Couldn't even pick up the slice. When owner (who was exceptionally rude) was addressed he insisted I leave!  Caught him sneering at me on the way out the door and talking about me to his staff. Incredibly unprofessional. From what I have researched so far about them, hundreds of people have all had the same complaints and the owner always responds in some disorderly condescending overtone. I won't be back and I WILL spread the word.

Classic "NY pizza"--the first time I had their pepperoni and mushroom, I spirited away about four extras slices from the work break room and couldn't stop eating it.  Small and busy, you're going to be frustrated if you spend tons of time driving around Larchmont for somewhere to park, only to wait for a table to open up, so either plan for takeaway or for parking a little ways away (better to walk off all the pizza you ate) and avoid peak times (or assume a wait).

Village Pizzeria makes sort of a hybrid NY style-LA style pizza that even if you order a slice, it is made to order. The dough is made from scratch daily and can be made to be thin (Neopoloitan style) or thick (Sicilian style). The slices come out piping hot and fresh.

One of their best combinations is the pesto pizza. Pesto pizza includes basil, garlic, olive oil and romano cheese with a fresh tomato sauce as well. The crust has a bit of chew, the herb, garlic and tomato flavors are pronounced and the cheese on top comes out golden and bubbling.
