You can go the traditional route at Xoia Vietnamese Eats, with egg rolls, banh mi and steaming bowls of pho, or you can go the fusion route. The no-frills Echo Park eatery offers Xoia Originals, a mashup up Vietnamese and Mexican dishes: Lemongrass pork carnitas banh mi, chicken curry tostadas, soft tacos with pho-infused beef. While it sounds like a splurge, Xoia won't break the bank—and if you stop by during the week from 11:30am-3pm, you can score a sandwich/soup combo for $8.

I love to come here for some plain good pho! The service is consistently good and it's in a great spot in Echo Park. They also serve a great Vietnamese coffee.

Love this spot! Solid, standard Vietnamese offerings and friendly service. This place has been around as long as I've lived here and seems like a pretty well-loved neighborhood place. I'm always down to go when someone recommends it, and there are options no matter what I'm in the mood for.

Decent Vietnamese food in the heart of Echo Park.  While the Bahn Mi and Pho won't blow you away, if you're hungry, they'll satisfy.  Highlights here are actually the more Mexican inspired dishes--the crispy tacos are great.  The house-made limeade is delicious on a hot day.
