Time Out says

Enter this sanctuary off of South Beverly Drive and be whisked away to a quiet spa for extensive pampering from head to toe. When entering the pristine space, you're greeted at the front desk—possibly by Tomoko herself—and are handed traditional Japanese sandals to change into. As you walk in, notice the architecture by Thea Home, which will calm your senses with its minimalist Japanese aesthetic, even before you start your treatment. Enjoy the small square of artisanal mint chocolate and water before you're taken away to a personal treatment room.

Privacy is key, here—the treatment rooms feature all the amenities you could think of, meaning you don't have to leave to go to a locker room to change before or after your treatment. The treatment suites feature massage beds, wooden bath, shower, plus highbrow organic products such as eco-friendly deodorant, face wipes, Oribe hair spray, and more. As you enter you'll be asked to sit against the wall on a plush seat. Each treatment starts with a 15min foot soak and rub, to help relax you and, through reflexology, open up your back muscles.

The treatments may just be the best in the city. With attention to detail and your aches and pains, all massages can be customized to your needs. The menu boasts all types of massages—from Thai massage, just arms and legs treatment or even pregnancy massages, they've got it all. The most popular and intriguing, treatment is the Zenshin massage (60min, $260), which promotes holistic balance by combining Swedish and Japanese techniques. Small, hot stones are used throughout the treatment as well as warm Japanese Sake, which is poured on your back to alleviate muscle tension. There are treatments for couples, as well as special packages, including one that brings you fresh sushi from Sugarfish to your suite, post-treatment.

Once you've completed your treatment take a moment to sit on the traditional Japanese floor cushions and reflect, while sipping potent green tea in your private room. Take your time—you have about two hours to spend in the exclusive spa with each hour-long treatment—and when you're ready, head back to the front room. Here, you'll find a sweet treat waiting for you: traditional Japanese mochi (filled with decadent cream), a refreshing Thai coconut jelly skewer, peppermint water, and a complex blend of ginger tea. Overall, the prices here may be steep, but given the exclusivity, privacy and unique services—this is a unique spa that's not to miss. You'll leave feeling relaxed, rested and at ease, even when walking back out onto bustling Beverly Dr.
