Judging by the fussing toddlers we see at just about every performance of The Nutcracker, it might not be quite as magical for kids as parents expect. So why not pair the iconic holiday ballet with something a little more hands-on (assuming you can swing the eye-popping prices)?
On November 19 and 20, the Los Angeles Ballet will take excerpts of its Nutcracker show to tea time at the Waldorf Astoria. The Beverly Hills hotel will host morning and afternoon sessions of high tea that include holiday crafts, a winter market, dancing with characters and photo ops with Santa, Clara and her doll friends.
Tickets support the ballet company’s education programs, so you’ll need to pay fund raiser prices to attend.
