Time Out says

Paul S. Flores's contemporary play shows a gritty side of urban culture that will speak even to LA's least theater-inclined. "Placas" tells the story of Fausto Carbajal, an ex-gang member who returns to his family after serving a decade-long prison sentence. Once home, Fausto finds his teenage son falling into the same gang life that consumed his youth. In order to break the cycle, Fausto agrees to shed his violent past by having his gang-related tattoos removed. Each of the play's four performances features a special event with the cast and crew, from Thursday's Q&A to Saturday's after party. Purchase your tickets now to access an advanced discount.
