Cutwater Classic: Pickleball Tourney

Canned cocktails and pickleball: a pairing that only a couple of years ago would’ve seemed out of left field, but now seems like a perfect receipe for a summer afternoon. On July 23, Cutwater Spirits is hosting a pickleball tournament at the Venice Beach Paddle Courts (1900-1998 Ocean Front Walk) with a $2,500 prize. If your paddle and plastic ball skills aren’t up to snuff, you can still swing by as an attendee for some Yeastie Boys, music from DJ Sean Patrick and some Cutwater Spirits. Admission is 21-plus, and free if you show proof of the Gopuff app on your phone. Proceeds benefit animal rescue organization the Labelle Foundation.
