Don’t know your rescue pup’s birthday? Enter DOGust, the universal birthday for shelter dogs. The Wallis Annenberg PetSpace is throwing a proper party for the occasion with dog-friendly activities, including games, crafts and photo ops. At 3pm, author-illustrator Lili Chin will join the Paws & Pages Book Club to share her latest book, Dogs of the World. And no party is complete without party favors: Each human will get a complimentary treat from Happy Ice and an art print by Chin, while each dog can enjoy a pup-cake. Just like a regular birthday party, gifts are appreciated—in this case for the PetSpace’s work with the most vulnerable animals in the shelter system.
