Time Out says

Hatched in 1978 as the anti-Rose Parade, the Occasional Pasadena Doo Dah Parade is an anything-goes celebration of the delighfully weird. There are floats, sure, and people marching, but its similarities with humdrum processions end there. Take a look at the parade lineup and you’ll see what we mean: Taco Tuesdays Bicycle Club, Urf McGurf, Heart of Bok Choy Intergalactic Tossed Salad, To the Moon Stinky Feet, The People’s Banana, L.A. Breakfast Club’s Democracy of Ham & Eggs and Highland Park Thursday Evening’s Society Circuit Bending Marching Band and Ladies’ Auxiliary, just to name a few. This year, the parade steps off at 11am on Raymond Avenue at Holly Street and then heads west on Colorado Boulevard (through the middle of Old Pasadena) to Pasadena Avenue. There’s an official after party at the Old Towne Pub.
