Fourth of July Block Party

Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that events are still happening.
The Fourth of July Block Party will be taking place online this year instead of at Grand Park.
Grand Park’s Fourth of July Block Party has quickly become a go-to destination for Angelenos looking to partake in a patriotic birthday bash on the cheap. But this year’s event is going to look pretty different. For starters, it won’t actually be in person. Instead, the Downtown park will host a three-hour livestream that features cooking demos, local comedy ensembles, musical performances and online workshops. Unfortunately, there won’t be a fireworks show, and the park itself will be closed to public gatherings and picnics on July 4, 2020 in order to ensure Angelenos’ safety and well-being.
Rapper D Smoke headlines, with performances by San Cha, Amindi and Ginger Root, plus stand-up from Filipino AF, a cooking demo by chef Jocelyn Ramirez of Todo Verde Restaurant and profiles of Danny Trejo, Susan Feniger, Mikey Alfred and more. You can watch the first hour on ABC at 7pm then the following two hours on Grand Park’s social media accounts.
