Things to do, Festivals

Play through the year’s most innovative indie releases as the annual video game fest lands at the Santa Monica College Center for Media and Design. While IndieCade dedicates plenty of sessions to developers and industry insiders, the weekend-long public part of the festival eschews the exhausting circus of E3 for hands-on fun tailored for gamers. Among the 100-plus games on display, expect up-and-coming indie darlings alongside showcases from big-name publishers (plus tabletop and real-life outdoor games). Stick around after hours for Night Games, a party of lights, games and music.
