KCRW's UpClose

Things to do, Talks and lectures

Time Out says

KCRW's conversation series puts on-air personalities and pop culture lumaries together in one room, in front a live audience. From sit-down chats to storytelling showcases, attendees can expect eclectic lineups—past guests range from Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner to Maus author Art Spiegelman—plus a look at how the KCRW radio sausage gets made. Most events take place at the New Roads School's Ann and Jerry Moss Theater (3131 Olympic Blvd), which will probably put your own middle school auditorium to shame. Tip: Look for free parking on Nebraska Avenue behind the school.
