Locale 90254 Oktoberfest

Torrance’s Alpine Village—which was home to the longest-running Oktoberfest in Southern California—may be no more, but this massive street fair has stepped up to help fill the void. On September 27, Downtown Hermosa Beach will again put a South Bay spin on the Bavarian tradition with a beer garden featuring local craft brewers, contests, games, live music, German food and carnival games. No presale tickets are available online—you’ll need to buy them the day beforehand at the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce or wait till the day of the event.
