Swing by gallery shows, open studios, parties and pop-up shops during this multi-neighborhood design series that is honoring the local creative community’s resilience in the wake of the wildfires. The second annual L.A. Design Weekend will hold events in a different cluster of areas each day: Friday will bring programming to DTLA, the Arts District and Boyle Heights; Saturday sees open studios in Northeast L.A., Lincoln Heights, Silver Lake, Atwater Village and Frogtown (including at Frogtown Brewery, where you can browse furniture hand-crafted from urban lumber); and Sunday will find installations and workshops in Echo Park, Silver Lake, Los Feliz, East Hollywood and Atwater Village. Most events are free, though some workshops and lunches have fees to cover the cost of materials.
